Dining

One of the great aspects of travelling to Iran is the stunning variety of culinary delights. There’s a vast spectrum of foods ranging from the familiar kebab to the tasty Ghormeh Sabzi which is a kind of stew made of vegetables and beans and also caviar, different sorts of pickles, and kippers in the north; samosas, falafel and hot and sour shrimp in the south; noodles, flatbread and rosewater-scented ice cream across the country.

KMU has scheduled a partial lunch and dinner-plan for its students on university workdays, i.e. Saturday to Wednesday, for a subsidized fee. Holidays are excluded from this plan. It should be mentioned that breakfast is not included. In order to facilitate the process, KMU has provided an automation system for food reservation.

Meanwhile all of the KMU dormitories have fully equipped kitchens, which let you cook inside easily. You can also eat out if you wish. Apart from different food stands, several restaurants and fast food restaurants are available all over the city. You have the opportunity to experience a wide variety of foods, ranging from traditional Iranian or even ethnic dishes to fast foods and pizzas in those restaurants.

In case of thinking about enjoying an afternoon with your friends or have a pleasant time alone, there are numerous cafés and coffeehouses around and about. Such places, as well as ice cream parlors, juice bars and snack bars, can be found all over the city.
